All this talk about calendars and months, I figured we should know what the seasons are called. “Season” itself is فَصل (faṣl).
- winter = شِتاء (shitāʾ)
- spring = رَبيع (rabīʿ)
- summer = صَيف (ṣayf)
- autumn = خَريف (kharīf)
